Learning & Development Specialist (m/f/d)

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Learning & Development Specialist (m/f/d) you will join two departments equally balanced: the Human Resources department as well as The DO School. 

For The DO School, you will contribute to management, design and delivery of customized learning programs for our partners. Our programs typically focus on leadership, innovation and sustainability. During the program lifecycle you will work closely with an internal team of program leads, designers and facilitators and you will project manage internal and external stakeholders and provide content know-how. 

For the HR department, you will be supporting to develop and implement a new learning & development strategy for our own people at The DO. You will work closely with our Head of People and Operations to design and deliver an innovative learning journey.

 

You would own… 

Learning Program Development and Facilitation

  • Support and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of the DO School’s virtual and in-person learning initiatives, including both on-demand and live components.
  • Facilitate internal and external workshops – ranging from 2 hour virtual sessions to multi-day in-person workshops and trainings
  • Coordinate internal HR and external DO School programs, ensuring smooth and impactful implementation.

Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with business stakeholders, collaborating to co-create learning programs that meet organizational and client needs.

Human Resources

  • Support to develop a learning & development strategy for The DO
  • Help the HR team in developing and refining career development frameworks and learning journeys for employees by using learning tools and reporting systems, based on the future needs of the organization
  • Develop and deliver targeted L&D programs for internal employees, enhancing their professional growth and aligning with HR’s strategic goals.

This is what you can expect…

In the first month, you will complete your onboarding, learn the nuts & bolts of our People strategy and The DO School Programs and get to know the team

After three months, you will lead portions of program management and design, take on core responsibilities for L&D initiatives, and begin co-facilitating workshops.

After six months, you will manage workflows independently, enhancing coordination between DO School and HR teams, and prepare for new learning partnerships.

After one year, you will be fully integrated into both The DO School and HR in your L&D role, taking on a proactive role in strategic planning of learning and development projects.

ABOUT YOU

To thrive and grow in this role, you will likely be: 

  • An experienced practitioner, with at least 5 years experience either in the field of learning design, facilitation, or a related area
  • Been responsible for internal learning and development projects in a corporate and / or have worked in a similar role at a Training provider, consultancy or similar
  • An outstanding communicator, able to align vision, strategy and learning goals with different stakeholders
  • Skilled at managing projects with a mix of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with both virtual and in-person program delivery.

  • Designed and facilitated high-quality trainings, workshops and programs (online and offline)
  • Worked with talented, next generation leaders
  • Managed and led co-creation projects with a wide range of stakeholders, including at senior level
  • Equipped with knowledge of innovation methodologies such as design thinking
  • Purpose-driven with a passion for working and developing people
  • Empathetic, open-minded and flexible
  • Fluent in German and English (verbal and written)
  • Worked in fast-paced, international environments 
  • Focus on organizational development, sustainability or people projects
