Eligibility and cost: Application is open to members of the DO Community as well as WEF Global Shapers. Program participation will be free for all participants. Participants will have to organize and cover for their own travel and accommodation.

SmartStart, launched at the World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2026, is aiming to equip 1 million young people with future-ready skills in manufacturing and supply chains by 2035. It is building industry-aligned pathways, combining storytelling, exposure to advanced technologies, and hands-on learning for entry-level roles across technical, digital, and sustainability-focused careers.


The DO is a global learning organization, built on the belief that business for good is good business. We train talented entrepreneurs and business leaders across industries to solve the challenges of our time, from AI workforce transformation to decarbonising our economies. In 2026, The DO will launch IncuVersity, a global program for young adults to create their own jobs in the AI economy.
