Our planet is under pressure. So are the generations who inherit it. It’s time to focus on climate solutions and on the young pioneers pushing them forward. The world is coming together at the COP26 conference in November to try to limit global warming to 1.5°, which is widely seen as a last chance for averting climate catastrophe.
Climate Action: Race to Zero seeks to harness the creativity, energy, commitment and action of young people all over the world to address climate change. Together with our partners, we’re calling all innovators tackling climate action to join our Race to Zero initiative – a series of challenges and awards for outstanding ideas.
Working with The DO and our partners can take many shapes and forms. It will depend on your availability, interests and experience as well as on the projects available. Examples include:

Climate Action: Race to Zero
In partnership with H&M, 24YOU equips young people with the tools and mindsets needed for the working world of tomorrow. During the 12-month program, young people live together in Berlin, embark on a journey of self-discovery, learn new skills, access mentoring and co-create innovative solutions with world-leading fashion brand, H&M.
Since its inception in 2016, more than eight cohorts of 20 participants have been empowered through the 24YOU program.
The Siemens Stiftung Education Challenge Africa
Selected fellows were invited to Berlin for an intense multi-week learning and co-creation program with the aim of creating viable solutions to advance MINT education in Africa. Fellows had the unique opportunity to participate in bespoke workshops, expert input sessions and peer exchange for developing essential entrepreneurial and leadership skills.
Climate Action: Race to Zero
In collaboration with Count Us In and the UK High Level Champions for COP26, we awarded innovation grants to young people, helping them to develop climate projects and access expert support and peer connection through our global DO Community.
The goal of the initiative was to engage young innovators between 16-35 years old, helping them to take action to fight the climate crisis. Selected change makers received €2000 in funding, assisting them in developing a range of ideas in four different categories; bringing the wild back, eating for the planet, traveling sustainably, and rewriting our future.
beVisioneers: The Mercedes-Benz Fellowship
The beVisioneers fellowship is a unique, one-year hybrid learning program funded by Mercedes-Benz, designed and implemented by The DO School Fellowships gGmbH. After completing the program, fellows become lifelong members of the beVisioneers community, getting support to continue developing their projects as well as their leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
With the goal of training 1,000 young people per year by 2025, and building a community of more than 10,000 innovators and mentors, beVisioneers is the most ambitious and comprehensive fellowship program The DO School Fellowships gGmbH has ever implemented.
